About the Image(s)
This is from Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. It was taken with my Nikon Z camera with my Nikkor Z 28-75 mm f/2.8 lens. I could have used one of my skies, but chose not to change anything-only to enhance the colors to give the viewer the feeling of the disaster which was wrought from this horrific storm.

Nice image from the hurricane's aftermath. I can't think of much to change, maybe crop up just a bit from the bottom. Nice colors and texture.   Posted: 11/19/2024 19:25:22

A good commentary photo. I think the title is needed, to understand that this is the after effects of a hurricane.   Posted: 11/19/2024 20:57:40

Colour i/r's always intrigue me Debbie. My initial thought was like Nelson's, maybe crop a little off the road and also the right to maintain the format. But then, hurricanes cause widespread damage so why not possibly keep the area as a whole? On this occasion, I fully agree that keeping the original sky is the way to go, both ethically and photographically, to keep some authenticity to the aftermath of the hurricane.   Posted: 11/25/2024 04:24:37

This is quite interesting picture. The story helps to understand it better. Technically well done!   Posted: 11/29/2024 20:56:30

Thank you all for your comments. It was, and still is, quite a freakish disaster. This image is haunting-as it captures the devastation, loneliness and example of what was left in Helen's path.
