About the Image(s)
Galen Rowell made this tree famous. It is in the Bristlecone Pine Tree forest in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, California. I climbed like a goat up a shale hill with the assistance of a friend. On tripod. ISO 200, 16mm, f4.0. Converted in a red/blue color swap profile, then to monochrome.

That is a very nice image. I like the bright tree against the dark sky. Sharp image, I like the processing used.   Posted: 11/19/2024 19:29:43

Congratulations Lauren, both on your image and your scramble up the hill. Good composition and depth. I would also like to see this one as a "normal" colour image.   Posted: 11/25/2024 04:28:02

This is a dramatic fine photo. The deadwood contrasts nicely in the interesting mountain terrain landscape. Very good!   Posted: 11/29/2024 21:03:57

I like the way the clouds are at the top of the image-not taking the interest away from the deadwood tree. You captured it well with the 'V' holding the tree. it is well balanced on the left side by the dark, distant mountain range.   Posted: 11/30/2024 01:51:20
