I can certainly see why this stump caught your eye. It absolutely looks like a creature. I kind of like the original better than the too-symmetrical final though. The mouth in the original, with the red leaf looking like a tongue in a toothless grin, seems to have more quirky character and animation. I do like the more saturated colors and greater definition in the final. Even if you prefer the mirrored version of the face, I'd suggest making the background not mirrored. Of course, the image wouldn't be altered reality if you hadn't made the changes you did. I'm just saying the original face is more interesting to my eye.   Posted: 12/12/2025 21:59:35

Steve, very cool piece. I had the same first impression that Jan expressed. The original tree stump is such a goofy creature - on the other hand the processed version of the stump creates quite an interesting face. I would eliminate the concrete in the background.   Posted: 12/15/2025 01:58:58

Hi Steve, I see "Scream" in the original stump, just without the hands. Your creation is interesting but somewhat busy and flat. I don't have Mirror Image, but may be there are options that allow more creative control.   Posted: 12/15/2025 16:32:32
