About the Image(s)

I saw this random object on the street, and took a photo for a pareidolia group on facebook. Later, I decided to give the Character a bit more character.
First I used onelab, to create three basic but very different versions of the original (these are presented here as a triptych).
Then I combined the layers in the gimp, and used various layer modes to merge them.
Finally I used the select tool and fill function to create one eye layer, then copied it to the other eye.

Steve, interesting blend of the 3 images. I liked the texture and colors. I would have liked to see limiting the color to the subject and keeping the background more monochromatic. I am a sucker for the Harris tweed look of the bg in the left image of the triptych. You are miles ahead of me with the software. Very interesting.   Posted: 04/07/2025 21:35:35

I'm a sucker for photographing pareidolia objects that I happen upon too Steve. This one is fun. I like all your interim and final versions. The only thing I noticed in the final was that the mouth became less impactful with all the textures there. I agree with Peter that the background is a bit distracting in the final; maybe if it was just cropped/blurred/darkened?   Posted: 04/15/2025 21:13:03

Your post processing has made the original into a stunning image. I especially like the second face in the "nose"!!   Posted: 04/16/2025 16:37:37
