About the Image(s)
This month I decided to revisit the use of the wall panels that I used some time ago but with different inhabitants. The right panel was enlarged to give room for the dog. The cat and dog were added on the left and right and adjustments made for them to fit in the space. Some burning and dodging were used especially on the stones of the panels. A couple of textures added. Nik"s darken/lighten were used as well as a subtle vignette. Some color adjustments were used to lessen the green and yellow cast.

Another great compositing job. I really like the subject matter. The dog is excited in seeing the cat, and the cat as always with most cats, ignores the dog. I've always been a dog guy, but the last few years my wife convinced me to get a cat. Must say, th difference in behaviour is astounding. Love the independence of the cat, and the pure joy of the interaction with dogs. Oh YES, love the picture.   Posted: 03/04/2025 21:45:35
You did a great job of isolating those furry critters, Candy. Their fur looks very believable against the stone background. I love the expressions on their faces. I kind of prefer the coloring in each of the originals, rather than the monochrome pinkish tone in the final, but that's just personal preference. Fun and well done composite!   Posted: 03/08/2025 16:33:50
A good idea, well put together. The eyes of both animals are nicely portrayed!
The panel on the left is less well defined than that on the rights, and if it were mine, I think I would mirror flip the right one for use with the dog!   Posted: 03/10/2025 05:16:37

Nicely done Candy. I like the subjects poking out from the windows - adding depth to the image. I also like the re-use of the wall cutouts as windows. The pets look a bit like they are imprisoned inside a castle tower.   Posted: 03/10/2025 17:58:36
Hi Candy. I like your concept and ideas. Composite wise, it was all nicely done. I asked myself how can I can help you improve the overall results. The dog and the cat image quality is much better than the stone panels. It makes them obvious they were pasted there. This a good example when we need to add noise, grains and a bit of 'imperfections' to good quality elements. To make them if they were really there when you shot the stone panel.   Posted: 03/16/2025 20:20:04
