About the Image(s)
I took this in Otranto, Italy on a photo workshop/trip and liked seeing the lone chair. I used an Olympus EM-5 with a 14-150mm lens at = 126mm. SS was 1/500, aperture f 9 and ISO 200. I processed it in PS Elements, NIK and Topaz.

I like the repetitive patterns, the circles, the outside frames, the bricks in the wall, the windows in the distance, triangular shapes in the canvas cover, even the shadows! The lonely chair just wants someone to come admire the view.   Posted: 04/02/2026 00:47:04
Hi Judy,
I like the story. I love Italy, and especially their food. Kathy did a nice job of defining the visual appeal. I wish Italians had more trees or were taller, so the chair would be larger in the frame. Just my wish. I would like it just a bit warmer, maybe because my winter has been so cold. I tried cropping some from the bottom but that didn't seem to make the chair larger. I could transform it in PS, but that might not be useful if Elements
doesn't have the tool.   Posted: 04/07/2026 00:04:15

I like Karen's addition of the person. Definitely brings your focus through the entire photo.   Posted: 04/10/2026 01:52:05
Adding warmth or contrast changes the peaceful feel for me. I like your original processing. My eye is led to the bench. I also thought a person on the bench would be good, but I like it without too.   Posted: 04/12/2026 16:27:03
