About the Image(s)
Max. Settings were f 1.8, 1/5 second, ISO 1600, all chosen by the phone. I used Topaz AI to denoise and sharpen. Other minor adjustments were made in Lightroom.

Love the reflections in the water. It appears you had a rather calm evening as the ripples are rather smooth in the water. (No wave action). It is amazing how some lights give off a larger glow than others - meaning the red seems more prominent even though in the actual building it seems a small amount. Image very sharp, impressed this was taken with an iPhone. Was it hand held?   Posted: 07/04/2025 00:11:00
It was hand held. I can't do it with my regular camera.   Posted: 07/04/2025 01:34:21
Yes, phones do a better job in some situations. I wish I had had one when I did more traveling.   Posted: 07/09/2025 17:29:59
Hi Elaine. I agree with your composition, light temp/color and I agree the iPhones excel in this type of image, however, it does take a very good photographer to stand in the right spot, compose and make sure the camera phone doesn't have bad settings. Well Done.   Posted: 07/06/2025 17:40:14
I like this night shot with reflections which add a lot of interest. I wouldn't have recognized this as Vienna, but it could still go in photo travel. Although I like Tim's warm, I think that might not go as PT since nights are not always warm. Karen is right about straightening.   Posted: 07/09/2025 17:33:37
Hi Elaine,
The cityscape is terrific, the sky adds interest and technically the phones now take great images. There are a lot of things in the water that appear to me to be artifacts, but could just be things in the air above the water. I might consider cropping the water to where you like the reflections.
I would like to see more info in your descriptions. The group would be happier to respond if you add a description of the subject matter, the effect you're trying to achieve or why you took the picture.

Hey Bob, I think those artifacts are in fact ripples in the water that catch the red colored lights.   Posted: 07/17/2025 22:26:14
