About the Image(s)
I took this photo on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park a couple of years ago. I used my Nikon camera with a Nikkor 28-300 zoom at 300 mm.

It isn't necessary in our study group to send what you consider perfect images anyway. Submitting an image that you may be struggling with is an effective use of DDG. Doing so may lead to an award-winning image.   Posted: 04/11/2025 14:15:01

But Karen, some of us do not know what those improvements looked like as the original is no longer posted. Anyway, The fox is a beauty with well lit head and eyes and great color in the stone above the den. Very good job.   Posted: 04/13/2025 17:01:08
Thank you for posting this, Karen, even though you didn't want it. I couldn't post it as an Original since there were already comments.   Posted: 04/15/2025 22:53:43
Beautifully captured expression. As you have removed the bush element, suggests it is not going to be used in a nature competition. On this basis I would suggest dialling back the structure which would increase the focus on the cub and also reduce the visual impact of the rock face and cloned areas.   Posted: 04/15/2025 19:13:58
Hi Karen, I can't even imagine how a zoom at 300mm could have been so sharp, but I agree. The eyes are supersharp which is terrific for wildlife. The rocks and ledge, not so much. I know Tim is correct, but with the sharpness fixed in the kit and rock, the pine no longer seems distracting to me and gives it a more environmental feel. The fox is still a little oversharp in my image.   Posted: 04/15/2025 22:48:51
