About the Image(s)
I had saved this stem during the fall and found it while reorganizing my craft room. This is a photo stack of seven images taken on my light pad. I added a background for drama.
Canon R5, 100mm Macro lens, ISO 100, f16, 1/5 second.

A really beautiful sample and photographed image making it a true work of art. I never have seen such a plant so I told pic in my "picture this" and it came back as "Indian shot" a species of Canna Lilies. Their examples were terrible, The sharpness and translucent quality of the coverings make it really pop against your background. Well Done.   Posted: 01/10/2025 01:23:50

Thank you! I knew it was a Canna Lily but did not know the specific type.   Posted: 01/11/2025 16:57:36

I like this picture a lot. I also have a couple of pictures of this plant. Very intricate and eye-pleasing details. I also think the background is perfect for this subject. I'm now a big fan of Topaz Photo Ai, and use it on almost all my pictures - denoise and sharpening - light touch.

This definitely gives the photo a little more pop.   Posted: 01/11/2025 16:56:10

A lovely image Elaine and you have selected a background which complements the image perfectly. The solidness of the stem emphasising the delicate lacework of the pods. The only minor thing you might consider getting rid of is the small knick in the stem very near the base of the picture.   Posted: 01/10/2025 18:48:05

I try to go around an image to see what might need correcting, but didn't even see the nick in the stem. Probably the result of sitting around in my craft room since last fall.   Posted: 01/11/2025 16:58:45

Benefits of having a group of interested viewers spotting such little things that a judge or buyer might punish you for.

Really a pretty piece of art. I like the background too. Keeping some fall plants and flowers in deterioration for use in the winter is a good idea.   Posted: 01/14/2025 01:18:35

Elaine, to me this is a work of art and wouldn't change a thing. Love the simplicity and detail.   Posted: 01/21/2025 00:34:57
