About the Image(s)
I took this shot through a car window, while the car was moving, with an iPhone, settings unknown. Naturally there were tons of artifacts and reflections...even a reflection of myself with the phone at my eye. I removed what I could and did general editing in LR. I rather like the contrast between the stable, distant lighthouse and the closer(therefore more blurred) and moving waves.

What a lovely place. I like the movement in the water. Can see why a lighthouse is needed there. Great atmosphere with the sky. Good results for being in a moving car with the windows up.   Posted: 11/08/2024 14:45:10

A really pleasing artistic impression Ron.
Only thing I might change is to get rid of the mask on the headland about an inch in. Other than that love it.   Posted: 11/08/2024 15:23:16

My hat is off to you (and phone camera technology)! Gorgeous image - great colours and tones. Did you replace the sky? Would have expected to see more of the colours on the water. In any case - a beauty. For the heck of it, I ran it through Topaz Photo Ai, to see if I could pull a bit more sharpness out of it - and I think it worked - mostly on the rocks and lighthouse.   Posted: 11/09/2024 19:46:18

Ron, this looks like Portland Head Light, Maine. Not sure how you did this but it is an interesting capture with some descrepancies from the Portland Head Light. As a Creative I like it.   Posted: 11/11/2024 04:54:35

Ron, I apologize as it looks very similar, The government built near duplicates, as the Portland Maine lighthouse appears shorter and has 1 more window. Ron, Great job of capturing well under the circumstances. Mine is a scanned slide from before 2004 with great blue sky and clouds, but I like your sunset clouds better.   Posted: 11/14/2024 02:18:16

I'm surprised just how similar they are too. Govt. cookie cutter lighthouses!   Posted: 11/17/2024 01:20:03

Very nice and especially under the circumstances. I love the look of the water and the color of the sky. Since Bob added his version, I am adding mine done at sunrise. Lighthouses are a good subject and there are many different types. Of course, Maryland has a lot of them with the Chesapeake Bay, many rivers and the ocean.   Posted: 11/26/2024 15:42:50
