About the Image(s)

I wanted to create this shot all summer. Fortunately, I decided to do it a few days before our first frost did them in. Taken on a light box. Canon EOS R5, EF 24-105mm f/4L, ISO 100, f/16, 1/10 second. Removed minor distractions on the stems, made the yellow a little more saturated and sharpened in Topaz Photo AI.

I really like the simplicity, which allows the viewer to concentrate on the color gradations of the flowers. If I was being really pedantic and nit-picky I would like a little more separation for the second flower from the left from the third.
Nice shot.   Posted: 11/08/2024 15:26:41

Love it - would not change a thing. You captured the delicate colours and tones really well.   Posted: 11/09/2024 16:57:24

Excellent job Elaine. You can now take another step and add textures or other Ps filters using the same favorite flowers. Even make a copy, flip (making mirror image) and use different blend modes. Months of optional edits if you so choose, and I'm not suggesting it is needed, just that I've (and others) have followed the path to more creativity. Your arranging the composition is a first step that is not easily done in the field. Beautiful.   Posted: 11/11/2024 04:08:07

Great image. The petals are translucent enough to convey the light. My light box doesn't seem to be as bright. I like Bob's ideas   Posted: 11/17/2024 01:26:04

Being late has some advantages-I ditto all the above. I need to try flowers on a light box--one of these days. I like the arrangement and color. We can always find multiple ways to process almost any image and get totally different looks. Plus it is fun to see what we can get. Well done!   Posted: 11/26/2024 15:24:29
