Post processing in ACR, Photoshop, Topaz Studio.
I found this scene very interesting for the story. After many years of working the fields, this tractor has been retired. Shooting it from the rear still reminds us that it is still facing a future. I also found the vegetation interesting, reinforcing the bond between nature and machinery.
Replaced the sky with one of my own from my archives.
Your thoughts and suggestions as always are very welcome.

I like the way it turned out. I love junky farm equipment. It makes a fun subject. Good job. Except for the cars and building, I like the original just as much.   Posted: 11/04/2024 21:48:03

Your processing brings out the texture and adds drama. Maybe try brightening the tractor a little and darkening the plant and grass? For some reason the blur on the sides is distracting me.   Posted: 11/08/2024 14:25:06

An evocative image Gunter. A really good sky selection which adds a bit of drama. For my taste the vignette or darkening, particularly on the left hand side is a little heavy.   Posted: 11/08/2024 15:16:25

Gunter, I like the interesting subject. Farmers often parked their old equipment in the fields of NH, VT and ME. This one with metal wheels has been retired for many years.
I think I might step to the left and back some to capture more details of the machinery. That also might fix the blurry tall grass on the lower right. The sky replacement is very well done and realistic.   Posted: 11/11/2024 04:40:23

I actually did walk around it a couple of times, but for me the rear had mor stuff going on.   Posted: 11/11/2024 14:28:40

I think is more interesting angle, but off course the weeds could have been the important factor. It doesn't cost much to be a packrat. Good Job finding it.   Posted: 11/14/2024 03:56:52

My kind of subject! There is nothing wrong with photographing the back. The cars are a distraction, so it was good to eliminate them. You did a good job with the sky. Yes, it is good to keep old images. I have found the new software can do things that couldn't be done years ago. I keep going through old images and bring them back to life.   Posted: 11/26/2024 15:31:58
