Poppy by Wanda Krack

July 2024 - Poppy

About the Image(s)

Camera settings: shot with the Zf on 5/09, early morning, hand held, F-5, 1/1000 speed, ISO 160, 62mm focal length with spot metering.

When the poppies are in bloom, they frequently find their way into the camera's view box, especially in the early am light. I enjoy the circular bokeh in the background.

Great shot and I also like the circular bokeh. I would try either darkening the bokeh or maybe the stem to give the picture more contrast.   Posted: 07/18/2024 18:40:02

Great leading line with the stem coming in from the lower left up to the poppy. Sharp throughout! I'm with Kathy on burning out some of the bokeh, especially those around the poppy.   Posted: 07/20/2024 12:21:10
