Woonsocket Rehab by Joe Kennedy

February 2025 - Woonsocket Rehab

About the Image(s)

My camera club offered a photo walk through Downtown Woonsocket, RI. About a dozen of us braved the cold and the mist for this two-hour stroll. I liked what was going on in this rehabbing project, especially the one doorway that was half open.

In post-processing I cropped it down to get a more balanced pleasing look.

I like the texture of the bricks and symmetrical squares of the windows of the photo. However, you mentioned you cropped for a more balanced look, but in the upper right corner part of the roof shows. On the left top side, could you show a bit of the roof for balance? Also, I would show a bit more of the building base at the bottom for balance.   Posted: 02/09/2025 22:22:13

I like this image, and the half open door really makes it special. Good job on getting your lines straight! Was that in camera or post processing?   Posted: 02/10/2025 06:13:53

Excellent lines. I'm wondering if you can get a touch more saturation to make the reds and that greens pop a bit more?   Posted: 02/13/2025 01:38:32

I have decided NOT to renew my PSA membership at this time which probably means being removed as a contributing member of Study Group 28.

I want to thank all of you for your thoughtful remarks and suggestions.

I enjoyed reviewing your images over the years as well.

Thanks,
