About the Image(s)
This photo was taken in a Ghost Town outside of Las Vegas, where I had gone with a few other photographers
this October. It was taken with my Olympus Mark iii, with my 40-150 lens at 150; ISO 800, WB Auto, Aperture not given. It was a bright, hot ,day with this little Road Runner hiding under a bush. Beware, the plant hanging over the Road Runner's head is very prickly and if you touch it, it gets embedded in your skin and is very difficult to get out

Love it! Very sharp and he is good contrast to the background.   Posted: 12/06/2024 00:07:06

Deb..these little Roadrunners are amazing! I was surprised that he didn't take off. But he was enjoying the shade!

I would like to see your original one in color as I feel there is not enough contrast as a monochrome to allow the roadrunner to stand out. He is sharp in detail for sure.   Posted: 12/17/2024 02:36:15

The highlights could be toned down. With a darkened background, the bird might stand out more. Great find. Well done.   Posted: 12/17/2024 22:32:37

I love the details of the feathers and the cactus above the bird is interesting. I agree with one of the comments above about maybe darkening the background tone down the bright spots and emphasize the bird.   Posted: 12/20/2024 00:10:33
