About the Image(s)
Sally B is the last flyable Flying Fortress in Europe, and is a frequent star of airshows. The aircraft has featured in many films and TV shows, most famously in the 1990 film 'Memphis Belle'. It is operated to commemorate the 79,000 US airmen who died in the European theatre from 1942-1945.
I took many pictures at the airshow, where I concentrated on using slow shutter speeds to catch a bit of prop blur. I thought you'd appreciate this B17 image rather than one of the many RAF types that I captured that day (and it's difficult to show in an image the sound of 9 Spitfires flying in close formation!).
Shutter: 1/320

Very little post-processing - mainly a little crop and a very slight opening up of the shadows under the wings.
