About the Image(s)

Late one afternoon last week, I was walking through a local garden area and was literally stopped in my tracks by the light bouncing back from these low-growing grasses by the side of the track. The low sun was shining directly toward me highlighting the yellow stems against the green stems. I hope I conveyed a bit of the feeling. In Photoshop I enhanced the brightness so the photo conveyed what I saw.

I can see why this stopped you in your tracks. I would love to see this as a print...large size preferably. I think I could just "jump in" to the image. I love the almost abstract quality of the leaves at the top, and then the shadows at the bottom. The bark on the ground, at various angles, is also compelling. Definitely one to print.   Posted: 09/10/2023 22:38:10

Hi, Audrey, this is a beautiful image. When I am out and I see things like that it makes me have to catch my breath and say "Thank you God for the beauty of this sight". The color and sharpness are spot on. Would like to see this on a wall in a waiting room.   Posted: 09/17/2023 21:43:04

A great image with great color, texture, lighting and composition. When I first look at the image the wood chips attracted my eye, and they are not the subject. I would try cropping the bottom a bit to reduce their impact. Also, the few bright green leaves attract the eye, should be easy to remove. Glad you saw this image on your walk.   Posted: 09/20/2023 15:47:33
