About the Image(s)
Taken this spring with my iPhone 16e, ISO 50, f/1.6.1/121 sec. These were in our garden and had mostly past their bloom time, but here was this perfect specimen. In Apple Photos I enhanced the lighting, in Photoshop cropped and cloned out a few spots, then saved for web.

The colours on the iris itself are very bright and eye-catching, and the details/patterns of the veins etc are very pleasing. Overall, the image has a very 'happy' feeling to it.
One idea might be to slightly pull back the greens in the foliage, as I find that the background is distracts a little from the flower.
I've had a go at it myself to show the general idea - but I'm not very good at photoshop etc, so I'm sure you can make a better job.   Posted: 10/09/2026 07:53:55
