Bollin Millner
About the Image(s)
4.2mm, f/1.6, 1/8 sec. Cleaned some things up like broken blinds in the window top left and the shadow of a chair, also in the window. Adjusted highlights. A popular local eatery on Main Street in Richmond, Va...just a few blocks from my home.

Great idea to try! I am going to have to live with both versions side by side for a bit to decide which I like best. I like the way the details show up in your version. But I also like the context clues in the other version. I wonder what other members of the group think. Weigh in, please, if you have a minute.   Posted: 08/08/2026 12:45:17
A good image with great control of the different sources of light. I prefer Brian's crop, but you may want to make more of a portrait ratio and include some or all of the window above the awning. I also would complete a border patrol and remove the little items that attract the eye.   Posted: 08/18/2026 14:33:02
Bollin, The brick on the top of the building adds to the image. You might just consider cropping some of the street, and maybe clone the 2 power lines.   Posted: 08/21/2026 16:01:55
Bollin, I am with Ruth on cropping some of the street and keeping the brick on the top of the building. The brick structure is rather attractive. I prefer a portrait presentation of this image.   Posted: 08/24/2026 04:12:49
Many thanks to everyone for the critiques. Very helpful and you've given me lots to think about and to try.   Posted: 08/24/2026 12:35:32
