About the Image(s)

These little birds really only show up for spring and fall migrations, and they are a pain to photograph. They are small, fast moving, never sit still, and love brushy areas. I managed to get this picture of one singing, but had to do a lot of work to get an image that would be okay for competition. I have really been working with all of the new to me tools in lightroom and used the masking and AI cloning features a lot. I was really happy with the final image and can’t wait to see how it does in competition.

Great capture to begin with. I especially like the clarity on the bird itself...including those tufts of feathers on its head. And I love your edits. You have transformed the image into something special.   Posted: 11/12/2025 14:56:16

Great image. I like the composition, sharpness and colors. The post processing is a great example on what can be done with the many tools in Lightroom.   Posted: 11/17/2025 19:35:51

Great image Jeremy - well captured and processed.

Make sure to check the rules if you enter it into competitions - some (FIAP I think for example) don't allow leaves etc. to be cropped out.   Posted: 11/18/2025 20:16:25
