About the Image(s)

This photo was taken in February 2025 when my friends asked me to join them on a local day trip to Huntington Beach, CA to take picture of Osprey catching fish and possibly seeing chicks. This was my first time taking pictures of Ospreys and thought it would be something new to try. Bird photography is all about patience - waiting for hours just for a few minutes of action. I also include another few shots from the day. I have to say I had good “first timer’s luck” that day.

This is one of my favorite shot of the day, I like the expression in the eyes of the Osprey (i.e. “don’t mess with me?”). I made two version, colored and B&W. Personally, I like the B&W version better. I would like to see what everyone else thinks. Thank you and I appreciate your comment and feedback.
