About the Image(s)
I went to the capital in mid-April wanting to get some images of the building with the spring flowers. The tulips were beginning to fall apart so close ups would not work. There a several rectangular fountains with flower beds around them which I used as a foreground and the dome of the Capital as the subject. I liked the colors of the flowers and their falling apart gave an unsharp look. Shot a f13, 1/125 sec, and ISO 125. I used a 24 - 124 lens set at 35mm.

I really like the layers in this...brown stone in foreground, then the tulips, then the fountain, and finally the Capitol. You did a great job of holding the camera level. Well done!   Posted: 07/10/2025 21:40:45
Eric, A very nice image with the different layers pulling the eye on into the picture.   Posted: 07/11/2025 15:28:42
The layers do make this image something special. I especially like the people just in front of the Capitol building itself which give scale to the building, as well as emphasising the distance between the tulips and the background. Nice sky too!   Posted: 07/12/2025 11:52:39
It's very interesting how you stacked the parts of the image from the front to back. Looks like it covers a pretty long distance and yet everything lines up.   Posted: 07/15/2025 22:09:08
