About the Image(s)
I'd booked a young female model and a studio, and had some nice 'soft light' ideas, but the model was a no-show. Disaster. The studio owner had a (male) friend who could step in.
I seldom shoot male models, and was a bit unprepared, but I had a go. I used a quite hard light source as key - a 10 inch reflector with a grid at something like 45 degrees, and strobe behind at for a hair/separation light.
Not much post-processing - turn the contrast up a little, then convert to monochrome (no skin smoothing!).
