About the Image(s)

Last summer we were sightseeing in Washington with our
13-year-old grandson who was visiting from North Carolina. His older brothers are avid hunters and have begun taking him turkey hunting. [He bagged his 1st turkey last fall]. As we were walking to the Tomb of the Unknown, we came across this turkey paying his respects to the fallen. The sighting brought forth lots of turkey stories from our grandson.

Shot with my Sony 7M4 with a 17 -28mm lens set at 28mm. Settings were f2.8 at 1/3200 and ISO 100. In post I completed noise reduction and sharpening in Topaz Photo AI, and made tone, texture, dehaze adjustments, sized, converted to JPG, and exported in Lightroom Classic.

Such a nice shot! My only question is, what would it look like with a closer crop on the turkey.   Posted: 04/09/2025 13:39:34

I did a crop but it is pixelated. But you should be able to do it on the original   Posted: 04/09/2025 13:50:04

I like your crop. It highlights the turkey but has enough of the headstones to provide context.   Posted: 04/19/2025 14:03:58

Eric, the image is sharp with great color. Like the tree as frame and the shadow on the bottom.   Posted: 04/13/2025 20:50:56
