About the Image(s)
Derry is in the northern part of Ireland. We spent a day there and walked the old town. This image was shot from the old city wall. I used my Sony 7aIV with a 24-105mm lens set at 69mm. Exposure settings were 1/125 @ f9.0, and ISO 200. In post I imported to Topaz Photo AI where I sharpened and removed noise. In Lightroom I made minor adjustments, including selecting the sky and bringing out the texture in the clouds.

This has a picture-postcard look about it (and I very much mean that as a compliment). I like the hills on the right-side horizon, which give the image a sense of place.   Posted: 01/12/2025 11:36:39

Great photo! I am happy that you worked with the clouds some as that added texture makes the top of the photo. I also like the composition, especially the way my eye follows the road from the left, as it winds around, finally paralleling the bottom of the frame.   Posted: 01/12/2025 15:24:28

Eric, this is sharp, with great colors. One feels like you are there, not just looking at a picture. Very well done.   Posted: 01/14/2025 17:07:12

What a picturesque scene -- completely different from the usual Irish green rolling hillsides. I had no idea there were such dense cities.   Posted: 01/15/2025 01:31:21
