Caught these birds this morning outside my window. We've noticed the woodpecker isn't comfortable perching on the peg and turning his head to get his meal. This one has found a way to get the seed from right in front of his beak by hanging from the bottom where there are some overflow seeds. The other birds have become accustomed to him and, for the most part, they ignore him. This one caught his eye, and I like to think they shared a friendly chirp.
Taken with my iPhone, through a double-pane window with a slight breeze, the camera chose ISO40, f1.8,, 1/120 sec.
In Photoshop I straightened the feeder and cropped to feature the action. Then I adjusted the tone and lighting and saved for web.

Audrey, what an amazing capture of the moment! I love the composition - kind of unusual but very interesting and unique perspective. The bird feeder also adds interest to the photo and composition.   Posted: 12/15/2024 06:30:50

I love the bird on the bottom! And...the way the bird on top is looking at it.   Posted: 12/17/2024 16:13:16

Very interesting, I like the fact it is two different types of birds and there does not seem to be any tension between them. Amazing sharpness for being shot through a double-pane window. Darkening the grass would help focus the eye on the feeder and birds.   Posted: 12/18/2024 16:53:49
