About the Image(s)
The museum is a structure which is not only dynamic on the outside, but the tower is filled with airplanes in various positions.
The pyramidal tower can be seen from I-95 south of Washington DC. Shot with a Sony a7IV at 1/250, f11, and ISO 100. Post processing in Lightroom included conversion to B&W, tonal adjustments sharpening and adding a vignette.

I think mono conversion was a good option, and I especially like the composition - the two figures at bottom-left align nicely with the projection at the top-right of the building.
How long did you have to wait for those two to be in the best position?   Posted: 11/09/2024 11:55:59

Thanks for the comments.
We were taking our 13 year old grandson to the museum so waiting around for a better photo was not an option. I liked the 2 people because they added a sense of scale. In addition, there current placement allowed for easy removal in Photoshop if I decided to do that in post.   Posted: 11/09/2024 14:43:11

Very nice B&W presentation of the picture! Like Brian pointed out, the two people in the lower left corner aligned nicely with the pointed structure in the upper right hand.
One suggestion (persona opinion) - a bit more contrast will add more depth to the picture. It could just be my personal preference as I like more dramatic look in my pictures.   Posted: 11/10/2024 00:00:16

Eric, I agree with Brian's comments. The couple is an added touch; my first thought was surprise because there were not more people there as it is a museum. Great composition.   Posted: 11/14/2024 14:57:03

I have seen this museum numerous times because, as you note, it is visible from I-95 but I have never visited. I really need to make that happen. Great photo. I love the composition and the conversion. My only question is about the sky on top left, above the roof. Is it possible to bring the highlights down to bring out a bit of detail?   Posted: 11/18/2024 20:31:04

Great image. I do agree with the suggestions to increase the contrast a bit.   Posted: 11/21/2024 22:13:15
