Every Sunday the Marche aux Fleurs Reine Elizabeth II on ÃŽle de la Cite (same island on the Seine where Notre Dame Cathedral is located), opens and is one of my favorite spots to roam. What attracted me to this shot were those cool Art Deco style plastic watering cans. The clear plastic divider with the greenhouse on the other side made the shot all the more interesting. Also by this same location is bird market Marche aux Oiseaux also open on Sundays.
The image was taken in the Fall of 2021 on my first trip after Covid as the pandemic was becoming under control.

I like your photo. Well seen. The clear "cool" watering cans contrasted against the items behind the plastic divider makes an interesting scene. Leading lines all take you to the back of the aisle. Well done.   Posted: 09/16/2023 18:54:04

I love the markets in France but have not visited this one. I love the water droplets and there's great use of leading lines and lots of interesting areas for the eyes to explore within the image.
Perhaps a bit of the left side could be cropped about where the green foliage ends.
Nice capture!   Posted: 09/18/2023 15:16:22

I like your suggestion, if I do anything else with the image I will crop. Thanks.   Posted: 09/21/2023 16:00:32

Well done. Without your explanation I would have guessed that it was a heavy rainstorm, instead of sheets of plastic. I hope that you took some images of just the green watering jugs...as they are very colorful and have a lot of designs...   Posted: 09/18/2023 15:29:43

Actually I did shoot just the cans, they're interesting and luckily in threes. Thanks.   Posted: 09/21/2023 15:59:13

I love the color and the light. I also thought it was pouring water and not plastic. I agree with cropping some from the left - the right is so much more interesting and colorful. Beautiful shot.   Posted: 09/24/2023 15:45:45

Thanks, I agree the crop will improve the image. I may submit to local cam club.   Posted: 09/27/2023 10:14:36
Hi Richard,
A fascinating image. Does grab you attention. I do like it! Quite playful with the backdrop of light caught in the water showering down.
Couldn't work it out first, the plastic sheet gives a warped lens effect. (thinking of my lensbaby) The water functions as leading lines, but not to the watering cans but to the path below.
