About the Image(s)
This is a Paris street shot taken in several years ago. Processing was done with Affinity Photo: perspective correction and crop, HSL shift to bring up red color of rose, sharpening, slight blur to background, white balance warming. Shot with Sony A6000 (my go to street cam, smaller than full frame) ISO 1600, 72 mm, f/8, 1/80 sec. Not liking the trash receptacle, but it's a street shot.

Good crop, I like it. Thanks.   Posted: 10/19/2026 13:00:49
Nice crop Marilyn - it really focuses the attention on the main subject and removes distracting elements.   Posted: 10/19/2026 14:15:41
A beautiful shot - but a very sad one....   Posted: 10/19/2026 14:15:11
Richard - I really like Marilyn's crop since it puts more attention on the man on the bench. The image raises many questions such as whether he's waiting for someone to whom he might give the rose, or perhaps was stood up.   Posted: 10/19/2026 20:48:51
Seems like a very sad image to me - like he's been stood-up by the woman who was supposed to get the rose, and he really is abandoned. Looks forlorn. Good capture. Much improved by the removal of the partial person on the left.   Posted: 10/20/2026 11:21:32
