I'm sharing an image for February - "Wary Adversary" taken August 17, 2024 at a Civil War reenactment event in Galesburg, IL. This reenactor was performing the role of General Grant and I happened to catch him at his tent prior to the actual battle reenactment event. He had been in conversation with other participants and happened to look my way for this moment.
Canon 5D Mark IV, ISO 500, F/4.5, 1/1000 second @ 115 mm (used Canon 70 - 200 F 2.8 lens). Editing with Lightroom.

General Grant never looked so good- nice solid shot, good timing and excellent tight crop. To me, the image looks just a little light, I made two slight adjustments- brought up the black level and increased the color temp. Posted: 02/12/2025 18:34:49
