About the Image(s)
This was taken in a flower/macro workshop led by a local well-known photographer in November. This was my favorite of the day. The flower was taken on a lightpad trying to give a hi-key effect. 1/200 sec/ f 6.3/ISO 1000/ 100mm

Hello, Julia! I like the super soft aesthetic you have registered through the lens ... now, going forward, this spring, search and look for flowers and expand this design idea using backlighting from the Sun. Yes, you may need a blanket to lay down on to do so, but its so worth it.
My favorite lens for this type of work is a fast (F/1.2 or F/1.4) 50mm.

I have tried some hi key images with a few of my shots but none have come out a good as this one - good job. Nice to be able to attend a workshop being lead by outstanding photographer.   Posted: 12/17/2024 00:42:58

Julia - Thanks for sharing another beautiful image and technique with us. I should add a lightpad to my Christmas list!
I do like the composition with the stem in the lower left leading the eyes to the petals. It's also nice how the petals fill the frame. Beautiful shot!   Posted: 12/17/2024 16:02:45
