This was taken at a Pirate Fest event in Boynton Beach Florida. Many attendees wore costumes. A fun event and good for photography.

Good capture of the little gal and her expression. However, I'm a bit curious just what the star shaped thing is on her face just below her left eye. It is very distracting, as if the spot under her right eye. She is not wearing glasses, so what are these things? Posted: 11/17/2024 00:45:06

Marilyn - I love the expression of the child and how you blurred the background to create more separation from the subject. It seems to complement the backlighting too which gives her almost a halo or an aura effect. Thanks for sharing the technique too - I'll have to try that sometime! Posted: 11/17/2024 21:16:14
