About the Image(s)
Came across this plant on our farm and thought it was quite large for a dandelion, turns out the seed head is from a western salsify plant which is a non-native wildflower. Fixed a black drop in the back and shot with a tripod at 1.3 sec, f/18, ISO 200, with 82mm - Sony A7III. Affinity photo for post.

Just beautiful. Very artistic and I love the symmetry. Personally I would like to see the green buds(?) removed so it would be more abstract. The black background really sets it off. Very nice!   Posted: 11/05/2024 15:09:59

Thanks Julia, I may try to remove the green part, there must be a relative easy way to way to remove it, perhaps the in-painting tool. Cloning might be quite tedious.   Posted: 11/05/2024 16:42:26

I like the new remove tool in Photoshop if you are a Photoshop user.   Posted: 11/06/2024 15:50:26

That is really a nice creative and artistic capture idea just from the Farm. I like the next image of removed green bud Pic.   Posted: 11/14/2024 18:36:58

Is the plant really that color? We have a lot of these "flowers" here in California, but they are all white...   Posted: 11/17/2024 00:47:14

The blueish cast is an effect of the processing.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:38:50

Richard - thanks for sharing your shot and and revised image after removing the green bud. I agree it's an improvement over the original image. It reminds me of peacock feathers and is so striking. Beautiful photo!!   Posted: 11/17/2024 21:18:06
