About the Image(s)

This was shot with my Samsung phone back in 2014. I brought it into LRC where I darkened the sky by masking it. Cropped it and flipped it horizontally as well as doing a little straightening in PS.

What a good decision to flip this horizontally! It makes all the difference, I think. The cropping is also very effective. This is a nice golden hour mini landscape. Very pleasant and peaceful to look at.

This is an excellent location for reflections at different times and seasons. I mainly picture the reflection when the morning or evening sky is in bright red. But I would concentrate mostly on the reflection, then flip it vertically for an abstract water reflection. If the water is mirror still, then toss a little pebble in the water to create a nice flowing ripple. If possible, by taking the picture from further right and capturing more of the building and the trees, it could be more story-telling. As it is, I think you have a conflict of two pictures.   Posted: 07/12/2024 21:57:21

I love the image and colors. My only suggestion would be to crop the image on the top and bottom slightly--just above the trees; just below the pond--to put more focus on the reflection.   Posted: 07/18/2024 16:40:12

Very picturesque (no real pun intended) with beautifully saturated colors and great to look at. The ground surrounding the water acts as a very good framing device. Maybe don't cut off the corner on the lower right side? The irregular shape of the pond keeps it from being too symmetrical. The clouds in the sky add drama. Well done.   Posted: 07/22/2024 11:53:23
