About the Image(s)

Attached you will find the original and final of Gift of the Forgotten Iphone taken in one of my most favorite places in Idaho, which is the main Salmon River. This photo was taken near Vinegar Creek which is 17 miles east of Riggins, Idaho. I drove to Vinegar Creek in pursuit of finding someone to take me on a jet boat ride up the Salmon, but didn't find anyone. I ran into the restroom and set my Iphone down on the TP holder. I departed and 15 miles later realized I had left my Iphone. I returned and luckily found it exactly where I placed it.

I was in my Lil Mule (side by side) so the drive was delightful. My dog and I stopped for lunch and I looked up and saw this composition. It was captured with my Canon EOS R5, Canon 24-105 handheld. ISO 500, 17mm, f/16, 1/125 sec. Basic Edits in LR and a little touch of Color Effects Pro

I so love a photo which requires minimal editing!

This seems to me to be a very classic mountain landscape. Your picnic spot was just perfect. Lovely as it is - no suggestions!   Posted: 07/11/2024 17:53:01

What a lovely compensation for driving 30 extra miles. Nice job of processing. Not totally sure, but I have the feeling that the entire image is leaning a bit to the right.   Posted: 07/18/2024 15:23:51

Lovely shot. I like the clouds - I feel I could reach out and touch them. Wish I could be there.   Posted: 07/19/2024 21:55:41

Beautifully exposed and colored image -- looks like you may have used a polarizing filter. The rock in the foreground combining with the river provides a nice leading line to the 'V' shape of the two main hill sides. Probably my monitor, but parts of the clouds appear a little blown out. Good contrast and sharpness. Very well done composition!   Posted: 07/23/2024 14:27:15
