Kaylyn, I was not there so I am just speculating. You have a beautiful scene, but I feel it is spoiled by the foreground. I just wonder if there could be a different angle to capture more of the reflection than the foreground. You did a good job eliminating the lens flair, but they are not always a bad thing. I also wonder if you could have used the lens flair to your advantage. Using the original I cropped the foreground to get to the scene faster and toned down the bright spots and eliminated some distractions. I also straitened the tilt to the right and gave it a little Curves treatment.
I left the flair in as something different, but if you like anything that I did, you can do the same thing with the final.   Posted: 09/12/2023 15:02:28

I'm assuming this is an old beaver dam in the foreground. At any rate, Joe makes a good point that it spoils the image. Unfortunately, it looks kind of trashy. Perhaps a better shot would have been to walk past the debris and capture the pretty water, reflections in mountains in the background.
