About the Image(s)

Carved Out Door was taken with my Iphone of a door in Northwest Kansas. I processed it in Snapseed using the healing brush to remove the electrical wire and other spots, perspective to straighten the door, I converted it to B&W, cropped it and then added a frame.

I love this shot! I'm amazed at how you corrected the perspective -- from capturing it an angle to straightening it up. Nice way to crop as well. Good choice to use B&W since there were so few colors.   Posted: 08/03/2026 21:26:45

Very nice correction and it really looks great in B&W. Exceptional detail and the oddity of the door construction was well captured. NICE JOB   Posted: 08/05/2026 19:44:52

Yes Kaylyn, you put a lot of work on this image and you made it stand out, but to me it looks king of lonely. I think you should keep some of the foliage. Also you could probably get it straighter with Transform.   Posted: 08/11/2026 18:30:14

I can see that this was a lot of work, but for me, the original has more character. The surroundings make the door more interesting to me, and I liked that old blue rug and the grass for color. However, you took a very creative approach to this image, and that's a good thing!

I had the same response as Peggy - before I read her comments. I also liked the blue rug and the color. The final is nice work as well. Good either way.   Posted: 08/16/2026 17:42:10

I like your approach to this subject, creating an almost pure abstraction, kind of a minimalist composition. Converting it to B&W was a good idea. Going to a transforming tool in PS would allow you to plumb up the sides. Nice texture, and a unique final image.   Posted: 08/16/2026 21:47:29
