About the Image(s)

This is a simple two image merge. I did some distortion corrections, processing and eliminating minor distractions, including the window cleaners. Yes, it was a cloudy and rainy day. Not sure what else to do with it. I tried brightening it, but it did not help.

I think this is a very nice image that is well-composed, exposed and processed. I especially like how you captured the silver buildings against the grey clouds. Nicely done.   Posted: 07/02/2026 15:45:49

I think the fact that it was cloudy adds to the final outcome, inasmuch as you have a soft box lighting effect; this results in reducing the chance of having too much contrast. I'm 50/50 on eliminating the window cleaners -- their presence could serve to give a sense of scale. The tree branches at top provide a nice framing device. Perhaps you could have selected out the bright middle side of the tower, inverted, and then brightened up the rest of the image -- as well as adding contrast. Finally, convert to all black and white?   Posted: 07/06/2026 13:14:34

I think the sky could use some adjustment to contrast with the sharp lines of the buildings. I've attached a simple sky replacement done in Photoshop with their sky sets. It doesn't change the tone of the image but adds some soft contrast. I like the framing of the leaves.

I like Peggy's sky replacement and agree with the framing by the leaves. The skew on the buildings bothers me though. The one on the right looks like it's ready to fall over. I guess it would take a lot to try and straighten them.   Posted: 07/09/2026 02:03:22

Thank you for your constructive comments. Yes, Peggy's cluds are an improvement and yes, I am sure that someone with more skills then I can straighten the buildings better. B & W would probably help. I considered it, but did not.   Posted: 07/12/2026 19:40:35

I like the way you made the adjustments to fit in the tops of the buildings but the tilt in your final bothersome. Just me. Yes to Peggy's change. I also think your finish on the sharpness overall is great.   Posted: 07/13/2026 23:03:53
