About the Image(s)
I chose this view because of the oval foreground formation, leading the eye to the bell tower. Not much processing needed, other than increasing the contrast a bit, warming the sky a bit and sharpening. I did add a tinge of RE on the left, just to avoid edge-merging.

What a great image! Your processing created an Old Worldly feel about it, as if it were painted by one of the great artists. Wonderful composition. My only suggestion is to remove the road on the left edge of the frame. That bright line draws the eye off the edge of the image and away from the beautiful view of Assisi.   Posted: 04/01/2026 13:45:51
Well done picture, Joe. I'm going to disagree with Mike in that the road completes a circle, the result of which is making it seem as if the foliage in the middle is being embraced with two big arms. If anything, the road should be cloned to the right a little in order to get it away from the edge. Also, maybe brighten up the trees so that more detail is revealed. Good job!   Posted: 04/06/2026 15:13:17
I agree with removing the road and the bright tiles at the bottom of the image. Neither adds to the focus on the tower or the frame of the structure. I think the brightening of the building was right on and would suggest the same for the surrounding foliage. Nice composition.   Posted: 04/07/2026 19:15:29
I agree with Jerry that the road completes the circle, and creates the arms that claim the forest as part of Assisi. I think it's a beautiful shot, and your processing is just right.   Posted: 04/15/2026 16:29:25
Personally-I like the original. The sky you have is more purple than the blue of the original and, to me, the coloring on the buildings is too bright and out of place with the sky.   Posted: 04/16/2026 23:35:51
