About the Image(s)
This month I share with you Poas Volcano, taken as a panorama in Costa Rica, in 2015 with the iPhone I had at the time. Other than increasing the various settings a little and cropping a bit from the right, no other process was needed. However, it appears that I created a rim all around the mountain. There is a way to eliminate that, perhaps some of you know how... The Guide said that we were fortunate to have a clear day, because many times the fog and mist is so thick, that hardly anything can be seen.

Not sure what you meant by creating a rim around the mountain but I like what you've done with increasing the vibrance and details in the image. Good job.   Posted: 04/14/2025 18:24:10
Look closely Marti. Jerry sees it.   Posted: 04/15/2025 17:35:26
Joe -- one method I use requires a bit of patience. In Photoshop or Elements I bring the image way in, almost to the pixel level. Then I take the clone stamp tool (experimenting with hard or soft brush setting and very small size) and move the tool along the edge (at this level you'll really notice the "halo") and cloning the dark part just far enough to cancel out the halo. It can seem like it takes forever but using your image here as an example, it will only require a few minutes.   Posted: 04/15/2025 00:58:04
Thank you Jerry. I will have to try that.   Posted: 04/15/2025 17:26:01
A really interesting shot with a lot to keep the eye moving around.   Posted: 04/15/2025 21:07:44
