I love the "Greeting Stretch" or its preparation to take flight made by the Corella. The eye is the focal point for me. The feathers are focused well and the bokeh is dreamy. The settings are dynamic.   Posted: 10/02/2026 16:04:26

Leslie, I completely agree with Michael-this is a WOW WOW WOW shot! The Corella looks almost as if it were made of porcelain. The composition is outstanding, the lighting is perfect, and every technical aspect is beautifully executed. I honestly wouldn't change a thing. Absolutely stunning!   Posted: 10/03/2026 14:10:06

Are birds like this common in Australia Leslie?   Posted: 10/03/2026 14:12:24

Not common...but that could be said about almost every bird now. Their birds are suffering numbers decline just like ours, and I suspect birds everywhere on the planet. The large colorful ones are disappearing the fastest it seems.   Posted: 10/03/2026 16:21:34

Leslie, at the other end of the spectrum, Ibis are taking over Florida. They are everywhere. Gorgeous image Leslie.   Posted: 10/03/2026 17:42:50

I love this!! I spend a bit of time in Australia each year as most of my children and grandchildren live there now. The corellas are such fun to photograph, but I have yet to get a shot like yours. It is stunning!   Posted: 10/03/2026 19:09:28
