About the Image(s)
Taken on holiday in Dorset UK, at Abbotsbury Swannery
The 200 or so mute swans were gathered to be fed. Instead
of the normal full view, I waited until one poked it's head up
from the middle.
Nikon D750, Nikon 70 - 300, AP f10, ISO 1250.

Nice shot. The hi-key whites with the colorful bill in the center of the photo is well-cropped. I love that every droplet is in focus. What a scrum of swans!   Posted: 08/02/2026 16:02:08
Mike,
Your image of the Mute Swan is very artistic with the subject framed by the white feathers, adding contrast. Known for it's grace, beauty and loyalty, the Swan is unique in the bird world.   Posted: 08/05/2026 14:16:05

A masterfully taken photograph... The graceful posture of the swan in the center and the natural whiteness of the swans in the background look magnificent. Congratulations.   Posted: 08/07/2026 20:38:54
The graceful curvature of the swans neck and the colorful beak with black face against a white background makes for an interesting, artistic photo. The multiple curved lines created by the remaining swans in this photo also adds interest. The red boarder, I think, takes this photo up a notch as well.   Posted: 08/14/2026 20:24:46
Mike, this image is an honest work of art. The face, neck and water droplets really make it with the bodies making an amazing background. Image is well composed and a very original approach. Great visual impact!   Posted: 08/16/2026 21:01:19
