About the Image(s)
I took this photo in a small pond. I saw a cattle egret in the distance. It had something in it’s mouth, but I didn't realize it was a frog until I took the picture.

Veysi, sometimes you are lucky and sometimes you are not. With the frog I think you really did luck out. With birds, it is a definite plus to catch a bird doing or eating something. Your image is perfectly sharp with very good definition and your crop is perfect. Some might say they don't like the grass in front of him but in this case I like it. Very natural.   Posted: 04/08/2026 16:04:55

Your photos are always on point. Not only is the frog exposed perfectly, but the Egret is also tack=sharp. I love the relaxed composition allowing more drama to the story of these patient hunters.   Posted: 04/09/2026 12:33:19

This is agreat capture of behavior. I think you could help the detail in the whites very easily by decreasing the whites in camera raw and also decreasing the highlights a little. I am pretty sure your histogram shows too much to the right.   Posted: 04/09/2026 13:05:18

Good action shot. Ta-ta froggy! Colors and focus perfect. Lovely, clear water. Michael's comment about the whites is a good one.   Posted: 04/09/2026 16:18:24

Veysi, I like how everything is sharp with a background that is blurred just enough. The bird is perfectly exposed with great color, and the catch of a frog in its beak makes this a great image. Very nice job.   Posted: 04/13/2026 16:24:48

The bird good and sharp in it's environment. I love it when you get a surprise when you get back home and discover something special. I may be nit-picking, but I find that blade of grass exiting top left corner a bit distracting and I might suggest cloning it out.   Posted: 04/16/2026 10:22:11
