Your in-flight capture of this Ibis is eye-level, tack-sharp, and a great composition. The flora is an important part of the image and illuminates the story-line. The frozen wing position is a great addition to the photo.   Posted: 04/09/2026 12:24:00

The ibis is tack sharp with great detail in the feathers. I think the red in the beak and eye makes this an outstanding photos.   Posted: 04/09/2026 12:57:32

Thanks Michael. I was concerned with the background not being enough out of focus.   Posted: 04/09/2026 13:05:25

It is plenty out of focus. You might try decreasin the green saturation a little.   Posted: 04/09/2026 13:15:29

What goofy birds are ibises. You did a great job of capturing this youngster. The colorful face stands out and catches the first look at the photo. Lucky it was tack sharp. I rather like the green background as that is what it really looks like.   Posted: 04/09/2026 16:27:24

Tom, what a great shot. The eye and red markings around the eye and the colourful beak immediately draw my attention and the bird is very sharp. The green background is processed well. I always enjoy seeing birds you post that I have never seen before. Well done Tom.   Posted: 04/13/2026 14:08:19

I've never seen this breed before. I especially liked the eye color and the patterns on its neck. Everything is beautiful. Maybe the background could have been a little more blurry. Congratulations.   Posted: 04/13/2026 17:31:47

Veysi, thank you for your comments. In Florida the Ibis is a very common bird and the adults are white. They are everywhere!   Posted: 04/13/2026 20:49:07

This is a super shot of a splendid bird. You have done a great job in catching it so sharply in flight. My only thought is that the background is a little dark, and I normally apply a degree of lightening the shadows. This has the effect of separating the bird from it's background. What do you think?   Posted: 04/16/2026 10:10:34

Mike, I have gone through the full range of lightening the background to an almost black background. Unfortunately I like them all. Will have to see how some of them do in competition. As always Mike, thank you for any advice.   Posted: 04/16/2026 12:50:44
