This Double Crested Cormorant was taken in Rockport, Massachusetts Harbor. The double-crested cormorant (Nannopterum auritum) is a large waterbird found throughout North America, recognizable by its dark plumage and distinctive orange-yellow facial skin. It primarily feeds on fish and is often seen swimming low in the water or drying its wings on perches.
