This image was taken this year at the Bali Bird Park in Denpasar, Bali. The Hornbill is a resident of Africa and Southeast Asia. It is listed as vulnerable and is decreasing in population. Hornbills are land birds that are terrestrial and live up to about 20 years. The main threats include deforestation and trophy hunting. Diet includes mice, frogs, snakes and fruit. This rare and beautiful bird has over 60 species.
