About the Image(s)
As you may know, Florida’s west coast has experienced many hurricanes in recent years. Somehow these storms have blown many species of birds all over the state. We are finding many birds in places that they have never been seen before. Such is with this Flamingo.
Shot with a Nikon D850, Speed 1/60th of a sec, Focal Length 200mm, ISO-1000, F5.6, Lens was an Nikkor 200-500.

You captured it's beauty and a usual Pose. It is tack sharp. The falling feather adds some interest.if you want picky I would clean up the water.   Posted: 12/09/2024 02:02:10

Thanks Michael. Always want picky. I compete a lot and judges are picky to extremes. Will clean up the water.   Posted: 12/09/2024 02:08:37

I agree the falling feather adds interest. Colors are gorgeous. Is the flamingo wild found in some slough somewhere? Guess water clean-up is okay, but not too necessary in my opinion. Maybe a few band-aids on the white spots.   Posted: 12/09/2024 03:47:51

I agree with Leslie, too much water cleanup is not needed, just remove the bright spots. Good detail in the feathers.   Posted: 12/18/2024 21:11:27

A super shot of the flamingo. Keep the water as it is! A lovely capture. In the UK the majority of flamingos are in groups in Nature Reserves and Zoos, and need a diet of shrimps to keep the pink colouring!   Posted: 12/19/2024 12:14:41
