About the Image(s)
Taken at Jubilee Park Nottingham Uni Campus, in October, I was
lucky to watch the heron as it flew onto the waterfall, and this
month's contribution is a sequence of the shots taken at the time.
Nikon D750, Nikkor 70-300, AP f9, ISO 1250.

Mike, three outstanding images of a Great Blue Heron and presented superbly in a triptych. They have great visual impact and interest, perfectly cropped and shows real technical proficiency.   Posted: 11/02/2024 00:15:53

Thanks Tom. It was actually a Grey Heron. I don't think we normally get the Great Blue in UK!   Posted: 11/12/2024 08:01:44

You obviously had your camera on burst mode. Great capture. That heron nailed the landing on the dam. They are such spectacular birds. I like your 3 panel presentation. Tells a more complete story.
The kind of bird I love to photograph...big and colorful.   Posted: 11/05/2024 17:28:44

This was three separate images taken individually, not in one burst. In fact 14 I had different shots to choose from!   Posted: 11/12/2024 08:00:09

Great trio of shots. I think you must have had to pan upwards to get all three shots, quick though the burst was. In an ideal scenario...unachievable probably... the perspective would have been the same in all 3 such that the edges of the dam were level. Maybe the focal length and the cropping demanded otherwise.Just a thought. Nevertheless a great set of shots.   Posted: 11/12/2024 00:42:33
