Over the past couple of years I have been going to county fairs which I think I mentioned before.
This is the result of a recent visit. Dexter did juggling and acrobatic tricks. I saw one show and realized light would be better at a second. I put camera into burst mode and got this image.

Hi Jay,
A wonderful country fair image. I like the vibrant color and that you `caught' the flame stick mid air. My only suggestion is to see what the image looks like if the `Circus ' sign was cropped out...alternatively from a photojournalism perspective you might want to leave the sign in and crop from the left to further emphasize Dexter & the sign.

I cannot even juggle with a couple of balls, so seeing someone juggle with six burning sticks is very impressive. He is obviously keeping a keen eye on what is going on.I think the colour is great as is the composition. The inclusion of the sign tells us where he is. Posted: 07/13/2024 08:53:05

So often fire in pictures ends up over exposed, but you have it just right. An amazing capture. The only thing I might wonder about, is in burst mode do you have one where the three batons do not intersect his head? That might be a better shot, but this one is amazing. Posted: 07/17/2024 20:34:27

Jay, this is a very compelling picture. The late afternoon light and the objects in the background are all telling the story of the scene. Well done
