Bandon Beachhenge by Stan Bormann, FPSA, MPSA

November 2023 - Bandon Beachhenge

About the Image(s)

Shot with an Olympus OM 1, Mark II lens at 85mm, f/11, 1/250 sec, ISO 200. The locals apparently are trying to one up England with this, the stones are much larger than StoneHenge, but then, they didn't need to move them. This beach is a must place to stay at least one night on the Oregon coast.

Stan, well done. i love the positioning of the "red girl" and the balance of the peaks under the horizon.

Hi Stan,
A great image...wonderful composition, color and lighting...the red jacketed person really `makes' the shot. My only suggestion is to consider leaving some more space between the ocean rock at the top right and the border of the image.

Beautiful light and atmosphere. I like how you chose to shoot rocks of different sizes and shapes and balanced the composition.   Posted: 11/16/2023 21:20:09

Interesting rocks with a nice touch of light creeping in. The misty background is good, and I like the inclusion of the person wearing red that adds scale and a bit of human interest.   Posted: 11/17/2023 12:20:32

Stan - the lighting that you captured is beautiful and the person/people gave the image scale.   Posted: 11/25/2023 15:21:08
